Governor Whitmer has been making the rounds on a variety of TV shows attempting to paint anyone who opposes her shutdown order as “racists” and “Nazis.”
Yesterday, Michigan’s Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer appeared on The View, where she was praised by the far-left hosts.
The View’s co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked Whitmer about the protesters, specifically focusing on the “armed protesters.”
The View’s queen of race-baiting, Sonny Hostin recalled Governor Whitmer’s grotesque characterization of protesters who are desperate to go back to work as “some of the worst racism and awful parts of our history.” Hostin attempted to tie President Trump to the “racist” protesters by remarking that he tweeted “#LiberateMichigan.”
Whitmer’s response to Hostin’s race-baiting question was not to defend the free speech rights of the citizens of Michigan but to throw gasoline on the fire, saying, “This is not free speech. This is a call to violence. This is racist and misogynistic.”
So, what about that time in 2012, when Michigan’s governor,
Twitter user Michelle Gregoire reminds us of the time that then-State Senator Gretchen Whitmer (D), led a protest against Governor Rick Snyder in her fight to prevent Michigan citizens the right to join a union.
Whitmer Yells, “Who runs this state?” The crowd Replies,” The People!” Whitmer Yells, “I’m not afraid of the people…The governor’s afraid of the people!”
Ah, so you only feel this way when you’re pandering, eh @GovWhitmer.

Here’s the video in its entirety:
We attended the 2012 Right To Work protest at the Capitol building in Lansing. Union thugs and Democrat lawmakers like then-MI State Senator Gretchen Whitmer (D) were all over the grounds of the Capitol. As a woman, it was unnerving to see how many men were willing to threaten my female business partner and me, simply because we dared to stand up for workers’ rights to join a union (or not) in the state of Michigan. Male union workers shouted in our faces, shoved us, and threatened us to leave the protest.
Conservative comedian Steven Crowder attended the rally and was standing next to the pro-Right-to-Work AFP (Americans for Prosperity) tent, a safe space for the minority of protesters standing up for worker’s rights. Crowder published a video to show what happened to him before he was punched in the face by a violent union thug for trying to stop them from cutting the ropes supporting the AFP tent. At the 3:00 minute mark, you can hear protesters chanting, “Snyder is a dick, Snyder is a dick!” At the 4:00 minute mark, the union members begin to tear down the tent. Death threats ensue. At the 5:00 mark, people outside the tent warn that everyone needs to get out of the tent. One of the women inside the tent is in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank attached to the back. At around the 5:30 mark, a union worker can be seen sucker-punching Steven Crowder.
THIS is the kind of violent protest where our current governor could be found, championing the very people who were harming and threatening their innocent opponents.
For the record, according to GOP spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington, Michigan was down to 370 new cases as of Wednesday. That’s 0.003% of Michigan’s population.

This shut down is not about the citizens of Michigan, it’s about a governor auditioning for the role of Joe Biden’s VP, as she continues to rack up television and radio appearances, making herself out to be a victim of “the people.”
