Police in Texas announced on Sunday they are looking for a woman who claimed on Snapchat to have tested positive for COVID-19 and was “willfully spreading it.”
Police identified the woman as Lorraine Maradiaga, 18. She stands to be charged with terroristic threat, Texas Penal Code 22.07, they said.
“We have no confirmation Maradiaga is actually a threat to public health,” the department announced on Facebook Sunday night. “We are, however, taking her social media actions very seriously.” Fox News
We are seeing on social media teens are ignoring social distancing and stay at home regulations as well as everything from spitting on produce to this female threatening to spread it as much as she can.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! This is what happens when a society does not hold kids accountable for their actions and makes disciplining kids punishable, has a generation ever been so selfish?
We have identified the woman seen on social media claiming to be COVID-19 positive and willfully spreading it as 18-year-old Lorraine Maradiaga of Carrollton. We are charging her with Terroristic Threat, Texas Penal Code 22.07.

“I’m here at Walmart about to infest every [expletive] because if I’m going down, all you [expletive] are going down,” she allegedly said in the Snapchat video. I have 0 sympathy for anyone who makes the decision to threaten and/or use any actions to spread the virus to other people, they make the choice to act out and they need to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law for their actions.
Let’s hope they find her and find her soon and charge her to the fullest extent of the law.
