President Trump Just Ripped Jeff Sessions To Shreds On Twitter After Embarrassing Senate Primary Performance

From Mark Sidney at Illicit Info OPINION Blog

OPINION| It looks like President Trump is not the only one who is not getting along with Jeff Sessions nowadays.

The good people of Alabama seem to remember what Sessions did to Trump and the nation in 2017.

Former Senator, then Attorney General, Jeff Sessions is not the shining star of the conservative movement that he used to be, that is for sure.

You would think that after being a beloved Senator from Alabama for 20 years (from 1997-2017), and being one of Trump’s first Senatorial supporters (which then landed him a spot as United States Attorney General) that Sessions would have had a much easier time regaining his seat in the Senate, however it looks like he can not even win a Republican primary.

Sessions’ career went down the tubes, along with the voters’ trust, when he decided to recuse himself from his duties as AG, when it came to the Russia sham, day one on the job. This paved the way for Rosenstein and company to initiate the initial ‘Russian Collusion’ hoax coup which tarnished the first few years of Trump’s Presidency.

It seems like Alabama has not forgotten.

This is not to take anything away from former Aubrun coach Tommy Tuberville, who after years as a hero on the football field, decided to take a shot at the seat as well.

In what likely came as a surprise to anti-marijuana crusader, Jeff Sessions, Tuberville actually recoded the most votes in the primary last night.

The Gateway Pundit reported:

‘According to vote totals at 10:30 PM Central — Tuberville won the most votes tonight despite trailing in the polls.

Tommy Tuberville — 235,461 32.2%
Jeff Sessions — 227,492 31.1%

Tuberville trailed Jeff Sessions by 5 points in the last Club for Growth poll.

The pro-Tuberville GRIT PAC released a powerful ad recently titled, “Don’t let Mitt Happen to Alabama.”’

The two Republicans will now go to a run off, which is scheduled to take place on March 31st, to see which of the men will be on the ballot come November.

Not that my opinion means much, but I am one of those old fashioned ‘fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me’ guys.

If the coach gets the nod, you can bet that Trump will come to his aid in the general, however, if Session ends up being the nominee, just the opposite may occur, that is if Trump’s Tweet today was any indication.

President Trump:

‘This is what happens to someone who loyally gets appointed Attorney General of the United States & then doesn’t have the wisdom or courage to stare down & end the phony Russia Witch Hunt. Recuses himself on FIRST DAY in office, and the Mueller Scam begins!’

This is an important seat as the current occupant, Doug Jones, a leftist Democrat who voted to remove Trump from office in the impeachment farce currently holds the position.
