A national police organization that bizarrely backed former President Barack Obama twice is now overwhelmingly supporting the “law and order” candidate for 2020, President Donald Trump.
The Epoch Times reports:
The National Association of Police Organizations formally endorsed Trump in recognition of his ‘steadfast and very public support for our men and women on the front lines, especially during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many,’ the group’s president, Michael McHale, wrote in a letter to the president.
McHale highlighted several actions Trump recently took, including directing Attorney General William Barr to prosecute people who attack officers, signing the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act, and revitalizing a program aimed at reducing violent crime.
The national association, a coalition of police unions and groups across the country, represents more than 1,000 units and associations and 241,000 sworn law enforcement officers.
‘I will ALWAYS back the men and women in blue, and never let you down. LAW AND ORDER will prevail!’ the president said in a tweet, responding to the backing.
THANK YOU @NAPOpolice and their 241,000 brave law enforcement members for a FULL & COMPLETE ENDORSEMENT! I will ALWAYS back the men and women in blue, and never let you down. LAW AND ORDER will prevail! #LESM https://t.co/tJnA0EpuTR

The group did not endorse either Hillary Clinton or Trump in 2016.
“And, President Trump earned that endorsement with a greater margin of the two-thirds that participated in today’s meeting,” McHale told Fox News.
“So, it’s with great pride that I announce on behalf of our National Association of Police Organizations, our endorsement of President Donald J. Trump.”
Meanwhile, Joe Biden and his Marxist Democrats are backing Antifa, BLM terrorists, and other Left-wing anarchists who want to hate on and defund the police.
Pretty stark difference: Law and order or perpetual chaos. The choice seems easy for us and, apparently, the NAPO.
