Developing: Police Officer Shot In The Head During George Floyd ‘Protest’ Is Paralyzed From Neck Down, On Ventilator, Unable To Speak Doctors Say

Have you heard of Shay Mikalonis? Probably not so we are going to tell you about him. Mikalonis is a Las Vegas police officer who was shot in the head during ‘peaceful’ protests in Las Vegas.

Mikalonis is alive- barely. He is in the hospital on a ventilator.

He can’t speak.

And he is paralyzed from the neck down.

But you don’t hear about this and other cops who have been shot, maimed or killed because apparently it’s not popular for left-wing media to cover.

Duncan Smith at The National Sentinel reports that as “Black Lives Matter” types and other Left-wing extremists continue to push for ‘defunding’ and ‘disbanding’ police departments while demonstrating and rioting over police shootings of black men, few in the ‘woke’ media, entertainment industry, or academia appear to give a damn about law enforcement officers putting their lives on the line daily to keep them safe.

The Epoch Times reports:

Mikalonis was shot in the Las Vegas Strip area in the wake of George Floyd’s May 25 police custody death in Minneapolis. The bullet, which has since been removed, traveled through his spine before being lodged on the other side of his face, police said. …

Police were trying to disperse a group of protesters near the Circus Circus casino because of concerns about the CCP virus when a shot rang out and Mikalonis went down on the casino-lined Las Vegas Strip.

Police said Mikalonis had been with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for four years. So far, he’s had a successful surgery to repair a shattered jaw, a police union leader told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Mikalonis is still in a ‘very critical’ condition. Earlier this week his family said, ‘Shay is on a ventilator and will be for the foreseeable future or perhaps the rest of his life.’

Mark Sidney at Illicit Info OPINION Blog has more:

‘Prosecutors have charged a 20-year-old man with deliberately shooting Mikalonis during the protest, one of hundreds being held across the nation. A judge who reviewed evidence at June 5 court hearing said that police video shows Edgar Samaniego “walking by, taking out a gun and firing … at officers.”’

Edgar Samaniego

While the left-wing media tries to justify the violence coming from the radical left, which only emboldens and in my view, and increases the intensity and further radicalizes, rather then deescalates the unrest.

We believe what happened to Floyd was an injustice and frankly, just about any American with a pulse agrees that it was.

But what happened to him is not at all representative of police interactions with black men, and the data prove that, no matter how loud the Left screams otherwise. And besides, the officers responsible are being held responsible, as they should be.

That said, there all lives matter…all lives, period. There isn’t one race worth more than another, and to insist otherwise is in and of itself an incredibly racist statement.

We’re pulling for Officer Mikalonis and praying for his family. Thank God for the Thin Blue Line; if it ever crumbles, the fools and charlatans calling for it to be demolished will see first-hand what it means to be careful what you wish for and then getting it.
