The media and Democrats were outraged at President Trump’s commutation of Roger Stone’s sentence on Friday. They have been beside themselves with outrage at this single commutation by the president who said his longtime friend had been “treated unfairly.”
What the media and Democrats aren’t reporting on is Obama’s commutations…330 on his last day in office alone. Obama has more commutations during his two terms than the past 13 presidents combined.
The photo below shows past presidents compared to President Trump. This tells the whole story in a nutshell:
RINO Utah Senator Mitt Romney never lets an opportunity to disparage President Trump go to waste. He’s constantly bashing the president even though he’s supposedly a Republican. Romney has been bitter since he was passed over for a position in President Trump’s administration even though the president endorsed Romney’s run for Senator.
When President Trump commuted Roger Stone’s prison sentence for lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice on Friday, Romney wasted no time piping up to criticize the president.
Romney was slammed for his false claim that the move by the president was “unprecedented” with some experts bringing up Iran-Contra.
GWU Law Professor Jonathan Turley commented:
“Romney stated that it is ‘unprecedented’ that ‘an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president.’ However, Romney has long heralded his respect and support of President George H.W. Bush despite Bush’s executive clemency actions for six former senior government officials implicated in the Iran-Contra scandal, including former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger. Bush himself was implicated in that scandal, and some alleged was protected by their silence.”
Placing Presidents above the law has been a trend since the end of WW2 at least, but it was super-charged by all the nice #NeverTrump Bush/Cheney operatives who are now the stars of MSNBC & CNN. They invented new theories of lawlessness. That's what caused me to start writing: pic.twitter.com/NpuIjE9kpa

Senator Romney might want to do some research next time he claims this one.
