NYTimes And DS Strike Again After Failed Ukraine Conspiracy And Have A ‘New’ Way To Try To Take Out Trump

NYTimes, deep state, helping Putin destroy faith in our elections, institutions with ‘Trump-Russia’ hoax

Putin’s greatest feat has been to manipulate the deep state into doing his bidding

By Jon Dougherty

(TNS) Former special counsel Robert Mueller did not make a lot of things clear in his report following his 18-month ‘investigation’ except this one thing: Mother Russia did not “collude” with the 2016 Trump campaign to ‘steal the election from Hillary Clinton.’

No evidence of that was found by his team of very partisan Hillary Clinton donors. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. And why? Because the allegation was a fabrication to begin with. A myth. A hoax. A deep state lie designed to entangle President Trump in scandal and undermine his presidency, with the ultimate objective of driving him from office.

So why does the New York Times continue to regurgitate this lie? Well, of course, the answer is obvious: The paper has been in on the hoax from the outset and, with a lot of help from CNN, the Washington Post, and other “mainstream” media outlets has managed to convince a plurality of Americans that the lie is true.

Under the headline, “Lawmakers Are Warned That Russia Is Meddling to Re-elect Trump,” no fewer than four Times correspondents reported:

Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.

The day after the Feb. 13 briefing to lawmakers, the president berated Joseph Maguire, the outgoing acting director of national intelligence, for allowing it to take place, people familiar with the exchange said. Mr. Trump was particularly irritated that Representative Adam B. Schiff, Democrat of California and the leader of the impeachment proceedings, was at the briefing.

During the briefing to the House Intelligence Committee, Mr. Trump’s allies challenged the conclusions, arguing that he had been tough on Russia and that he had strengthened European security. …

Though intelligence officials have previously told lawmakers that Russia’s interference campaign was continuing, last week’s briefing included what appeared to be new information: that Russia intended to interfere with the 2020 Democratic primaries as well as the general election.

Let’s recall:

— Russia has been ‘interfering’ — or “meddling,” if you prefer — in American democratic processes for decades. It happened throughout the Cold War, and it didn’t change much in the post-Cold War period. Russian President Vladimir Putin is a former KGB official so he understands how information warfare works and just what U.S. intelligence ‘buttons’ to push in order get the desired effect.

— It has long been obvious to any fair-minded person that there is a large faction within the U.S. intelligence community consisting of nameless, faceless career bureaucrats who, like most of ‘official Washington,’ are offended and outraged daily by Trump’s continued occupation of the White House. Since their conclusions are rarely seriously challenged, they could report anything to Congress and it would be accepted as gospel by politicized lawmakers — like Schiff, who politicized the Intelligence Committee after he became chairman in January 2019.

— Whatever ‘meddling’ Russia did in 2016, it had zero effect on the outcome of the election. No votes were “stolen.” No ballots ‘changed’ by Moscow’s magic wand. Trump won fair and square, and quite handling as evidenced by his electoral college tally.

— Any ‘intel’ that Russia is ‘continuing to meddle’ has obviously been politicized — again — by the deep state, and the Times is continuing to play its role by giving the unsubstantiated claims oxygen, to ‘get Trump.’

What’s really disturbing is that this regular politicization of intelligence has created doubt in the minds of tens of millions of Americans who no longer believe outlets like the Times when they report such things, or the ‘officials’ who allegedly provide the information.

And honestly, that’s been Putin’s greatest feat: Manipulating deep state intel types and their media allies like The New York Times into doing his bidding, not Trump.
