During a hysterical, tear-filled plea during a press conference on Thursday, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), railed against the Trump administration’s border and immigration enforcement efforts in recommending Democrats adopt a full ‘open borders’ policy to reflect the party’s ‘character.’
As reported by One America News Network, Tlaib rejected President Donald Trump’s call for immigration reforms and said instead that there should be no border enforcement whatsoever.
Tlaib’s radical proposal comes after Customs and Border Protection officials released detailed videos showing that conditions in migrant detention centers along the southwestern border are far better than she and other Democrats on the far-Left have claimed.
Contrary to allegations by Democrats, it also turns out that President Trump — again — was correct in noting that illegal immigrants in detention awaiting adjudication of their asylum and other claims are enjoying a much better quality of life than in their home countries.
OANN video depicts migrants working at crafts while migrant children are attending classes and school. In addition, migrants’ basic needs — food, water, shelter, healthcare — are also being addressed.
Others have noted that migrant children are being better cared for than tens of thousands of American children and that they came to the U.S. voluntarily — that they aren’t being held against their will and are free to return to their homes at any time.
“We are creating a generation of children that will never forget what we did to them,” Tlaib claimed during her press conference.
“We always want to apologize after,” she continued. “No amount of apologies will make up for what we did to a whole generation…’
Analysts, OANN noted, say that the crush of hundreds of thousands of migrants making illegitimate claims of asylum from Central America is hampering the U.S. mission to assist others around the world who are actually being persecuted, injured, and killed for their political views.
One of them is British conservative Tommy Robbins, who appealed directly to President Trump this week during an interview for asylum because he faces prison in his home country over his ‘Britain first’ views.
Meanwhile, reports Thursday noted that the Department of Homeland Security, through its various immigration enforcement agencies, will begin operations this weekend to locate some 2,000 people living illegally in the country who have been ordered to leave by immigration judges.
As a means of thwarting ICE agents, top Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), have been advising illegal aliens on how to push back within the law.
The unhinged plea by Tlaib comes on the heels of protests by far-Left groups earlier this month who demanded that all detention facilities be shuttered and migrants be released into the interior of the United States:
The protests were scheduled after Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Joaquin Castro (D-Texas), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) traveled to El Paso, Texas to visit a detention center on Monday.
As she is prone to do, Ocasio-Cortez made sure that the event was all about her getting more attention than it was about truthfully presenting factual data about the facilities to her constituents (and the American people at large). And of course, the disgustingly dishonest Washington media played its role by not calling her out or reporting correct information.
“We’re talking systemic cruelty [with] a dehumanizing culture that treats them like animals,” Ocasio-Cortez said after she and her delegation claimed that migrant detainees were being denied medications, bathing facilities, and other amenities.
