(SALT LAKE CITY) – Some Black Lives Matter protesters in Salt Lake City could face up to life in prison if they’re convicted of splashing red paint and smashing windows during a protest, a potential punishment that stands out among demonstrators arrested around the country and one that critics say doesn’t fit the alleged crime.
Lawrence David| Opinion| Leave it to left-wing defense attorneys to minimize the damage that’s been done to our republic. This isn’t about a toppled statue or some spilled paint.
The crimes committed by these anarchists, masquerading as conscientious protesters, to advance Marxism, the destruction of the nuclear family, and the end of Western Civilization has America on the verge of being permanently transformed into a totalitarian state.
The felony criminal mischief charges, that can carry life imprisonment sentences, are more enhanced because they carry a gang-related enhancement. Prosecutors believe they are justified in applying the more egregious sentencing goal because of the level of organization the protesters engaged in.
Defense attorneys for the insurrectionists, hopeful of redefining themselves as peaceful protestors, feel the potential penalties are too harsh.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill countered that argument by explaining “there’s some people who want to engage in protest, but they want to be absolved of any behavior. This is not about protest, this is about people who are engaging in criminal conduct.”
Some Black Lives Matter protesters in Utah could face up to life in prison if they’re convicted of splashing red paint and smashing windows during a protest, a potential punishment that stands out among demonstrators arrested around the country and one that critics say doesn’t fit the alleged crime. “This is so far beyond just the enforcement of the law, it feels retaliatory,” said Madalena McNeil, seen here.
Poor Madalena, she feels the penalty is retaliatory. Poor baby. She wants you to believe this is about some paint…

It’s much more than paint you moron.
Pretty sure most Americans consider it payback for trying to topple our democratic republic. Payback for the uncertainty law-abiding citizens are suffering over the future of their country.
Ya can’t start a revolution and write it off as an ill-advised trip to the paint department of Home Depot.
