Buck Sexton Issues Scathing Announcement To Defund/Abolish The Police Movement, “If Cops Aren’t Allowed To Defend Themselves, We’re Betraying All Who Wear The Uniform

By: Duncan Smith at The National Sentinel

While the Left continues to bash police officers and call for their disbanding, good men and women continue to put on a uniform and a badge and go out into their communities every day trying to keep the peace and keep people safe.

And while most Americans support and appreciate cops, it is imperative we stand up and do so vocally, as former U.S. intelligence analyst and member of the NYPD’s intelligence unit Buck Sexton reminded us Sunday on Twitter.

“There’s no amount of sensitivity or tactical training you could give a law enforcement officer to make him/her not react to a credible threat against that officer’s life with lethal force,” he wrote. “If cops aren’t [sic] allowed to defend themselves, we’re betraying all those who wear the uniform.”

Most Americans, though sadly, not all of us, agree with that.

The latest ABC/Ipsos poll finds that an overwhelming majority of Americans oppose defunding police departments.

Meanwhile, in a ‘turnabout is fair play’ moment, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) pointed out that a New York Tims op-ed calling for defunding the police is actually putting more police officers at risk.

The Left is trying to extinguish all remaining forms of civility in our country in an attempt to destroy it from within. We can’t let them do that.
