Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced plans to remove the hunting departments from “approximately” 440 additional locations, following a similar — albeit much smaller — effort last year.
In a press release issued Tuesday along with the company’s fourth-quarter earnings report, Dick’s confirmed that it would be removing the hunting departments sometime “in fiscal 2020,” though there was no specific time frame announced. Fox News
Company Chief Executive Ed Stack has been a staunch advocate of stricter gun control measures as well as ammo and “assault weapon” bans.
In fact, if you recall, when they decided to remove all “assault weapons” from their shelves and destroy them, they stated they destroyed over $5 million dollars worth of “assault weapons”.
Their core business is Nike shoes and apparel to the shopping mall crowds along with exercise equipment, which anyone who has ever been inside of their buildings and done any price comparison knows that they are notoriously more expensive than other sporting goods stores.
I am not convinced that any true hunter or fisherman would step foot into one of their establishments and throw their money away on a corporation that stands with those who want to abolish your second amendment rights.
I believe it is our duty to get the word out and to help true Americans see the blunt truth on these companies that are clearly in bed with the politicians that desire to destroy your rights and take away your firearms.
Call it a boycott or simply call it our civic duty, but either way, let’s make sure we get the word out to stop spending hard-earned American money in an anti-American establishment.
