Mayor Bill de Blasio Spits In Trump’s Face And Says He’s Not Doing ANYTHING To Help New York City To Recover From COVID Pandemic

By: USAFEATURESMEDIA

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio blasted President Donald Trump Sunday, claiming he is “not doing anything” to help his hometown recover from the health and economic ravages of the coronavirus pandemic.

“[The] federal government is not saying, we’re going to make you whole for that extraordinary effort,” de Blasio complained to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“My budget, I just announced, we’ve lost over $7 billion in revenue. Right now, Donald Trump is not doing anything to help my city back on its feet,” he said without elaborating as to what he expected the federal government to do.

“How am I going to pay for basic services? How am I going to pay for first responders? How am I going to have a restart of my economy if my city is going broke?” the mayor said.

Critics like conservative talk host Mark Levin have noted it is hypocritical for de Blasio to claim that the president has no authority to say when New York City can reopen following the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, but then demand the federal government cover his economic shortfalls after he made the decision to shut down his city.

Also, the Trump administration has shipped scores of supplies and critically needed equipment like ventilators — so many, in fact, that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has begun sending hundreds to other needy states.

In addition, the administration had the Army Corps of Engineers build a 1,000-bed hospital at the Javits Center in NYC, and sent the USNS Comfort, one of the Navy’s two hospital ships, to New York Harbor.

The Javits Center and the ship remain minimally used.

What an PUTZ!
