Former President Barack Obama argued Monday the nature of American democracy itself lies at stake in the 2020 election, not just the political future of his former Vice President Joe Biden.
“What’s at stake in this election is much bigger than Joe or the man he is running to replace,” Obama said about his former vice president in a video posted to social media.
“What’s at stake is whether or not our democracy endures,” Breitbart reports
The democrats have a very different agenda than everyone else and we all have to hope that “their democracy” does NOT endure and that we as a nation and as a people, will be able to take control of our futures and our children’s futures.

Breitbart continued their report, The former president asked supporters to make a plan of how they would vote in the election, urging them to vote early or vote by mail to make sure their vote counted.
“Now’s the time to safeguard this democracy and fight for what we believe in,” Obama said.
Obama also tried to brand President Trump as a threat to American democracy during his Democrat National Convention speech in August.
Obama was right with one part of what he said, this is the most important election of not just our lifetime but for our freedoms and rights. If we allow the Democrats to continue their onslaught of our nation’s laws and freedoms, it will be the downfall of The United States of America.
This time, Obama argued, the election is not merely a battle of blue versus red but for the survival of democracy itself. “What we do these next 76 days will echo through generations to come,” he said.
Obama noted that he had sat in the Oval Office with both men who are running for president and said sardonically he had hoped that Trump might “show some interest in taking the job seriously … But he never did.
“For close to four years now, he’s shown no interest in putting in the work; no interest in finding common ground; no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends; no interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves. Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t.” The Guardian
